Responsible Adult course is designed in alignment with ECEBC Occupational Competencies and the ECEBC requirements. This training prepares the individuals to provide quality care in licensed child care settings, school-age programs, or as a substitute.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Completion of at least 20 hours of child care–related training
  • Valid First Aid certificate
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
Course Content & Assignment Include:
  • Child development (birth to 12 years)
  • Child guidance and positive support strategies
  • Health, safety, and nutrition in child care
  • Introduction to programming and activity planning
By completing this course, you will meet the provincial standards to work as a Responsible Adult and begin your professional journey in early childhood education.
